Back from MAGFest!

Tuesday January 10, 2012

We're back from MAGFest and ready to rock!

For those of you looking for our coverage of MAGFest, particularly video of our panels and lecture, we'll have it for you as soon as we can! In the meantime, you can at least see the slides from Beyond Dungeons & Dragons. You can also keep yourself busy with several of our other lectures on games, game design, and game theory!

Back from PAX Prime 2011!

Wednesday August 31, 2011

Welcome to GeekNights! We're are back from PAX, but we probably told you to come to our site for one reason or another. New episodes are twice a week (barring this most recent Tuesday, where Rym magically lost it).

If you want to see our lectures from PAX East 2011, two of them are in our Youtube channel. The third will be up soon, along with our PAX Prime 2011 shows!

If you're looking for Radio Free Equestria, look no further. But, it's just a pilot: the real show is in production (so hold your horses).

We did two events at PAX Prime 2011! We will try to get some video up as we can!

Discover the Forgotten Masters
Saturday @ noon: Serpent Theatre

Learn to Play: Boardgames
Saturday 6pm-8pm: Tabletop Workshops - Room 302

If you attended the workshop (or want us to run more tabletop workshops at future PAXes), fill out this survey!

At PAX Prime 2011

NerdNYC Board Game Night

Sunday July 10, 2011

We will both be at tonight's NerdNYC Board Game Night at THINK Coffee downtown. Come by for a drink and perhaps a game of two-fisted bomb-mode Spot It!

With ConnectiCon successful and behind us, expect a resumption of our regular schedule, and look forward to our to-be-officially-announced events at PAX! Keep an eye out, as we'll be getting more of our previous shows from previous PACES (the proper plural of PAX) on Youtube as Rym's aversion to anything other than laziness subsides.

Also don't forget to submit some horror for the GeekNights Worst Webcomic Contest! Enter using our official entry form, and enjoy the forum commentary as we eventually culminate in naming a "winner."

Worst Webcomic Contest

Wednesday July 6, 2011

Cold on the heels of our (in)famous Worst Podcast Contest, we now bring to you a fight to the death to see what the worst webcomic in the world truly is. Enter using our official entry form, and enjoy the forum commentary as we eventually culminate in naming a "winner."

Now, a note. You may feel that a contest like this is mean spirited. You're 100% correct. But also bear in mind that even the worst webomic is lightyears ahead of nothing. When you submit your entry, consider what you've created in your life. If the answer is nothing, that webcomic is better than anything you've ever made. Food for thought.

Radio Free Equestria pilot 001: The Economy

Sunday June 5, 2011

In between GeekNights episodes, lectures at conventions, and running panels departments at other conventions, we found the time to launch a spinoff show. It may or may not involve ponies. My Little Ponies.

So, bronies of the world, check out the very first premiere pilot of Radio Free Equestria. Episode p001: The Economy.
